Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo 2016

Hey guys, Chase here... It's 2016, and we're BACK AT IT AGAIN with the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo!!! This year was huge and jam packed with celebrity guest appearances and events. Over 103,000 people were in attendance over the course of the weekend! All in all I would say it was a very successful "Con" (as the exhibitors liked to call it), here are some of our favourite and most memorable moments!

These were our "Golden Tickets", which got us in everywhere. I mainly just enjoyed looking official with a lanyard around my neck... VIP style.

This year, the fans were out in full force... Star Wars: The FORCE Awakens that is. Maybe you've heard of it? I hear "studio-grade quality" costumes are all the rage right now.

Even though Stormtroopers always miss their target, these guys definitely nailed their costumes!

This was the line to see Tom Felton, aka that jerk Draco Malfoy! Apparently he's really nice in real life though, judging from this massive herd of people waiting to meet him.

The first celeb we got to meet was the one and only Joey Fatone!! We're not too sure what he's been in lately, but for a guy who has travelled all over the world and sold millions of albums, he's a super down to earth guy that loves meeting fans. He also swears like a sailor, and we liked that. Not a big fan of the photobomber, but don't worry, I made sure to bark at him after I took this picture...

Next up was Tom Payne, aka "Jesus" from The Walking Dead (shout out to AMC). This was his first time in Calgary, but he said he was having a blast! I'm still a little chapped that he wouldn't divulge what ACTUALLY happened in last season's finale, but we'll let it fly this time.

We had absolutely no idea where or what this creature was from, but Chloe wanted it, and I said no.

Apparently gas masks are a thing now? Moving on...

The sword vendors really stepped it up this year with the nice display! The cool shoulder armor wasn't for sale though...

Here's Chloe going straight SAVAGE on this candy bowl. Shout out to Frozen Machine Studios though, I'm sure their new mobile game they were letting people try out was great!

Here's the Fire Emblem crew, straight killin' it. Cosplay. So hot right now.

Even though Chloe wasn't wearing a top hat and goggles, "The Calgary Steampunk Assemblage" still let her take a picture with them... Only after this guy put on his sweet armblades though. And yup, she's holding a stick of dynamite... You literally can't make this stuff up.

Finn from Star Wars is also a gamer, if you weren't aware.

Ugh... That's enough from you Lex Luthor.

If there's one thing I know Chloe tends to "geek out" over, it's Sailor Moon.

Here's Chloe and a friendly-looking wizard. Little did we know, he was merely trying to sell us on his hand-carved walking sticks...

They seemed pretty choked that we didn't buy any... Maybe next year guys!

Here's me having a dose of nostalgia and rifling through a bin of Dragonball Z action figures... They didn't have Goku, so I told the salesman "no deal".
