Stripes & Polka Dots

Patterns: you either love them or hate them. I for one love them!

I enjoy wearing a pattern because I think it makes an overall outfit fun. The hard part about wearing patterns however, is mixing them.

When I saw this jean bomber jacket, I was immediately drawn to it for the polka dots, but upon further inspection of the jacket, I noticed subdued stripes on it too.

Normally, I'd wear the jacket by itself as a statement piece, but I thought I'd bring a stripe shirt into the mix. I think you can mix patterns as long as they are either in the same color palette or the same pattern.

I'm all about details, and today the details are gold. Gold belt buckle, gold detailing on the shoes, gold buttons on the jacket... these are all little things that I believe make an outfit.
